I did lots of things. Recommended are the seaside walk from town to Tacking Point lighthouse. You can do it in stages like I did and chill out enroute. There's Sea Acres (NPWS) that has a lovely cafe and easy nature walk; there are also other cafes en route as well as a few at Lighthouse Beach. I also rode my bike, a lot, and recommend Creek Trail and Boundary Trail as a lovely route, roughly 7 kms in length but with other trails leading off. The art gallery is also worth a look and there are at least four licensed clubs, my favourite was the Westport with views over the water and a good range of food. If you like the bush, a trip to Boorgana Reserve or Ellenborough Falls is worthwhile, remembering to stop at Comboyne for a cuppa at the fabulous cafe.
