  • Public Transport

    To reach the Arthurs Seat Eagle via public transport, take the Frankston Line train to Frankston Station. From there, the Portsea Passenger Service offers a Flexibus booking service to the Mornington Peninsula. This service can take you closer to Arthurs Seat, but it's essential to book in advance. Please check the PTV (Public Transport Victoria) website for schedules and booking details. The bus routes 788 and 887 also service Arthurs Seat. A one-way Flexibus fare from Frankston to Arthurs Seat will cost approximately $5-$10.

  • Driving

    If driving from Melbourne, take the Monash Freeway (M1) to Eastlink (M3) [use Frankston/Mornington Peninsula Exit] and then onto Peninsula Link (M11) [use Portsea Exit]. Exit the freeway at Arthurs Seat/Dromana (C789) to easily access the Base Station. Free parking is available at the Arthurs Seat Eagle Base Station. On busy days, overflow parking is available at the nearby Seawinds Gardens car park. Be aware that during peak times, parking can be limited.

Each gondola can accommodate up to 8 passengers. Arthurs Seat itself has a rich history, named in 1802 by Acting Lieutenant John Murray for its resemblance to Arthur's Seat in Edinburgh, Scotland. The area was originally known as 'Wonga' by the Boonwurrung people and was an important gathering place for sacred ceremonies. Today, Arthurs Seat continues to be a popular destination, offering a blend of natural beauty, historical significance, and modern attractions.
