Getting There

• Car

  To reach Bay Lookout by car, start by heading to Arthurs Seat. If you're coming from nearby towns like Mornington or Rye, take the Nepean Highway (M11) towards Sorrento. Exit at Arthurs Seat Road and follow the signs to Arthurs Seat State Park. Continue along Arthurs Seat Road until you reach the entrance to the park. There is a large parking area at the top near Bay Lookout, where you can park your vehicle. Note that while parking is generally free, check for any specific signage regarding fees or time restrictions.

• Public Transportation

  If you're using public transport, you can take a bus from Mornington to Arthurs Seat. Board a bus on the route 788 or 788S, which will take you to the Arthurs Seat area. Once you arrive at Arthurs Seat, the bus will stop near the entrance to Arthurs Seat State Park. From there, it is a short 1.5 km walk to Bay Lookout. Follow the walking trail signs leading into the park and up to the lookout point. Remember to check the bus schedule in advance, as services may be limited, especially on weekends.

• Bicycle

  For the more adventurous, cycling to Bay Lookout is an excellent option. You can start from nearby towns like Mornington or Red Hill. There are dedicated bike paths along some sections of Arthurs Seat Road, but be cautious of traffic. The ride is uphill, so prepare for a workout. Once you reach the top, there are bike racks available near the lookout point where you can secure your bike while you enjoy the views.
