Car
If you are driving, start from the Visitor Centre in Mount Field National Park. Head southeast on Lake Dobson Road for approximately 9 kilometers. Follow the signs for Lake Dobson, which is a popular starting point for several hikes. As you approach Lake Dobson, the road will lead you to the car park. From the Lake Dobson car park, you can begin your hike to Lake Belcher.

Hiking
From the Lake Dobson car park, the trail to Lake Belcher begins. Look for the track that leads towards the Mt. Field West track. Follow this well-marked trail for about 2.5 kilometers. The hike will take you through beautiful alpine scenery. Be sure to keep an eye out for trail markers to ensure you stay on the correct path. After approximately an hour of hiking, you will arrive at Lake Belcher.

Public Transportation
If you are using public transportation, you will need to take a bus from Hobart to Mount Field National Park. The bus service may not run frequently, so check the schedule in advance. After arriving at the park entrance, you can either walk to the Visitor Centre (approximately 1.5 kilometers) or arrange for a shuttle service if available. From the Visitor Centre, follow the directions above to reach Lake Belcher.
