Getting There

• Car

  If you are traveling by car within Mount Field National Park, head towards the visitor center first. From the visitor center, take the main road (National Park Road) towards the Russell Falls. Continue past the Russell Falls car park for approximately 6 km along the road. You will reach a signpost indicating the turnoff to Willies Falls. Take the left turn onto Willies Falls Road and continue for about 1.5 km until you reach the designated parking area at Willies Falls. There are no fees for parking in this area.

• Public Transportation

  Public transportation options to Mount Field National Park are limited. The closest major town is New Norfolk. From New Norfolk, you can take a local bus service to Mount Field National Park, which operates on select days. Once you arrive at the park entrance, you will need to arrange for a taxi or rideshare service to get to Willies Falls, as public transport does not directly access the falls. Ensure you check the bus schedule in advance and plan your return trip accordingly.

• Walking

  If you are already in the vicinity of Willies Falls, you can reach it by walking from the nearby tracks. From the nearest parking area on Willies Falls Road, follow the clearly marked walking tracks which lead to the falls. The walk is approximately 1 km and should take around 20-30 minutes. Make sure to wear suitable footwear and bring water, as the track can be uneven in places.
