Car
From the main entrance of Kosciuszko National Park, follow the signs towards Thredbo. Drive along the Alpine Way until you reach the Thredbo Resort. There, you can park your car in the designated areas. Note that parking fees may apply, so be prepared to pay the required fee at the ticket machines. After parking, make your way to the Thredbo Gondola, which will take you up to the top of the mountain.
Gondola
Once you arrive at the Thredbo Gondola station, purchase a gondola ticket. The ride will take you to the top of the mountain, offering stunning views along the way. At the top, disembark and follow the signs for the Summit Walk, which leads toward Seamans Hut.
Hiking
The Summit Walk is a well-marked trail that takes approximately 1-2 hours to reach Seamans Hut, depending on your pace. The track is approximately 6.5 kilometers (4 miles) one way. Follow the path that ascends gently, enjoying the breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape. Keep an eye out for directional signs pointing towards Seamans Hut. Make sure to wear suitable hiking shoes and carry water and snacks, as facilities are limited.
