Car
From the center of Mount Wellington, head south on Huon Road (A6) for approximately 10 kilometers. Continue straight onto the Southern Outlet (A6) and follow the signs for Wellington Park. Exit onto the Mount Montagu Track. There is limited parking available at the trailhead. Be prepared for a short walk to the Mount Montagu summit.
Public Transportation
Take the Metro Tasmania bus route 446 from the city center towards Kingston. Get off at the stop near the Southern Outlet. From there, you will need to walk approximately 2 kilometers along Channel Highway (B68) to reach Mount Montagu Track. Make sure to check the bus schedules in advance for the most accurate times.
Walking
If you are in the vicinity of Mount Montagu Track, simply approach the trailhead on foot. The track begins at the end of Mount Montagu Track, which is accessible for pedestrians. It is advisable to wear appropriate hiking gear and carry water and snacks for the hike.
