Getting There

• Car

  If you're driving from the center of Mount Wellington, head south on Huon Road (A6). Continue for about 6 kilometers until you reach the junction with Lenah Valley Road. Turn left onto Lenah Valley Road and follow it for approximately 1.5 kilometers. Look for the entrance to Wellington Park on your left. Once in the park, follow the Lenah Valley Track signs. The parking area is located near the trailhead. From there, it's a short 10-15 minute walk along the trail to reach New Town Falls.

• Public Transportation

  To reach New Town Falls via public transportation, take the Metro Tasmania bus number 41 from Elizabeth Street Bus Mall in Hobart, heading towards Lenah Valley. Disembark at the stop on Lenah Valley Road, which is close to the entrance of Wellington Park. From the bus stop, walk approximately 1.5 kilometers along Lenah Valley Road until you reach the park entrance. Once inside, follow the signs for the Lenah Valley Track and walk for about 10-15 minutes to reach New Town Falls.

• Walking

  If you are already within a walking distance in the area, you can take a leisurely walk to New Town Falls. Start from the nearest park entrance on Lenah Valley Track. The trail is well-marked and will lead you directly to the falls, taking approximately 10-15 minutes. Ensure you wear comfortable walking shoes as the terrain can be uneven.
