Car
If you're traveling by car, start from the center of Mount Wellington. Head southwest on Huon Road towards the Southern Outlet. After approximately 5 km, turn left onto Davey Street, which will become the Southern Outlet. Continue on this road for 8 km. Take the exit towards Mount Wellington via the Pinnacle Road. Follow Pinnacle Road for about 12 km, where you'll find a parking area near the summit. From the parking area, it’s a short 1 km walk down the marked trail to St Crispin's Well, which is located at coordinates -42.9279517, 147.2117758.
Public Transportation
To reach St Crispin's Well using public transportation, catch the Metro Tasmania bus route 446 from the city center. The bus will take you to the Mount Wellington base. The journey takes approximately 30 minutes. Once you arrive at the base, you will need to walk approximately 3 km to the Pinnacle Road entrance. From there, it’s a short drive or a 1 km walk down the marked trail to St Crispin's Well. Be sure to check the bus schedule for return times, as they can vary.
Walking
If you're already in the vicinity of Mount Wellington and prefer to walk, you can hike from the nearest public transport stop. From the nearest bus stop on Pinnacle Road, it's a 1 km walk down the well-marked trail to St Crispin's Well. Make sure to wear appropriate hiking shoes and carry water, as the trail can be steep in certain sections.
