Car
From the center of Mount Wellington, head onto the Huon Road (A6) towards the south. Continue on Huon Road for approximately 10 km until you reach the junction with the Mt Wellington Road. Turn left onto Mt Wellington Road and follow the signs for Wellington Park. After about 7 km on Mt Wellington Road, you will arrive at the car park at the Fern Tree. From here, you can either hike the Wellington Falls Track or take the short drive to the Wellington Falls trailhead, which is located 1 km further along the road. The parking area at the trailhead is free.

Public Transportation
Take the Metro Tasmania bus number 45 from Hobart to Fern Tree. The bus ride takes approximately 30 minutes. Once you arrive at the Fern Tree stop, you will need to walk to the Wellington Falls trailhead. Follow the Wellington Falls Track, which begins at the Fern Tree car park, for about 1.5 km. The track is well marked and will lead you directly to the falls. Be sure to check the bus schedule ahead of time for return trips.

If you are already at the Fern Tree car park, you can begin your hike to Wellington Falls. The hike is approximately 3 km one way and usually takes about 1.5 hours to reach the falls.
