Getting There

• Bus

  From Noosa Heads, walk to the Noosa Junction bus stop and catch the 'Sunshine Coast Bus' to Noosa North Shore. Check the timetable for the latest schedules. Get off at the Noosa North Shore stop. From there, follow the walking path leading towards the Cooloola Sandpatch. The path will take you through scenic landscapes, and it is approximately a 30-minute walk to reach Cooloola Sandpatch.

• Bicycle

  If you have access to a bicycle, you can ride from Noosa Heads to Cooloola Sandpatch. Start by heading towards Noosa North Shore. Follow the designated bike paths which will guide you through the stunning scenery. The distance is about 15 km, so plan for a leisurely ride that should take approximately 1-1.5 hours, depending on your pace. Look for signs directing you to the Cooloola Sandpatch once you are on the North Shore.

• Walking

  For experienced walkers, you can trek from Noosa Heads to Cooloola Sandpatch. Begin your journey by walking towards the Noosa National Park entrance. From there, follow the coastal track along the beach towards Noosa North Shore. This scenic walk will take approximately 3-4 hours, covering around 20 km. Ensure you pack water and snacks, and wear suitable walking shoes as some parts of the trail can be uneven.

• Ride Sharing

  If you prefer not to use public transport, consider using a ride-sharing app to get to Cooloola Sandpatch. Simply request a ride from your location in Noosa Heads and provide the destination as Noosa North Shore QLD 4565. The driver will take you as close as possible to the Sandpatch location. From the drop-off point, you may need to walk a short distance to reach the Sandpatch itself.
