Bus
From Noosa Heads, walk to the Noosa Junction Bus Stop. Catch the Sunbus route to Maleny (check the schedule for the latest times). Once you arrive in Maleny, get off at the main town stop. From there, head towards Maple Street and take a left onto Mountain View Road. Continue walking for about 1.5 kilometers, and you will see McCarthy's Lookout on your right.
Bicycle
Rent a bicycle from one of the local shops in Noosa. Head towards Gympie Terrace and follow the path along the Noosa River. Take the path that leads to the Eumundi-Noosa Road and continue onto Maleny. Follow the signs to Mountain View Road. The scenic ride will take you through beautiful landscapes, and after about 15 kilometers, you will reach McCarthy's Lookout.
Walking
If you're up for a long walk, start from Noosa Heads and head towards Noosa National Park. Walk past the park towards the Sunshine Beach area. From there, you will need to navigate through local roads to Eumundi Road. Continue walking until you reach Maleny. Once in Maleny, ask locals for directions to Mountain View Road. It's a beautiful but lengthy walk, so ensure you're prepared with plenty of water and snacks.
