Car
If you are driving from Kununurra, head south on Victoria Highway (National Route 1) for approximately 200 kilometers. Turn left onto the Great Northern Highway (National Route 1) and continue for about 80 kilometers until you reach the turn-off for Purnululu National Park. Follow the signs to the park entrance. Upon entering the park, follow the unsealed road for about 53 kilometers to the Echidna Chasm parking area. Please note that a park entry fee may be required, which is typically around AUD 13 per vehicle.
Public Transport + Car
Take a bus service from Kununurra to Halls Creek, which is approximately 300 kilometers away. From Halls Creek, you will need to hire a 4WD vehicle or join a tour that goes to Purnululu National Park. The drive from Halls Creek to the park entrance is about 50 kilometers. Once you reach the park, follow the unsealed road for about 53 kilometers to the Echidna Chasm parking area. Be aware that the bus fare to Halls Creek can vary, and hiring a vehicle may incur additional costs.
Guided Tour
Consider booking a guided tour from Kununurra or Halls Creek that includes transportation to Echidna Chasm. These tours typically provide a comprehensive experience, including park entry fees, guided walks, and meals.
