Car
To reach the Light Towers in Petermann, NT, from Alice Springs, take the Stuart Highway (National Route 87) heading south. After approximately 200 kilometers, turn onto the Lasseter Highway (National Route 8) towards Uluru. Continue for about 80 kilometers and then take the turn-off to Petermann. The Light Towers are located just off the highway. Be sure to refuel in Alice Springs as services are limited along the route.
Public Transportation
If you are traveling by bus, take a Greyhound Australia service from Alice Springs to the nearest stop. The closest stop is at Erldunda Roadhouse, which is about 60 kilometers from the Light Towers. From Erldunda, you will need to arrange a taxi or rideshare service to take you to the Light Towers, as public transport options are very limited in this area.

Once you arrive at Erldunda Roadhouse, you can call a local taxi or use a rideshare app if available. Make sure to confirm the fare beforehand, as prices can vary significantly. The ride to the Light Towers will take approximately 45 minutes.
