Car
If you're driving, you can reach Daintree Rainforest from Cairns. Take Captain Cook Highway (Highway 1) north from Cairns. After about 60 km, turn left onto Mossman-Daintree Road. Continue for approximately 10 km, then take a right onto Daintree Road. Follow Daintree Road until you reach the Daintree Rainforest at 2333 Cape Tribulation Rd, Cape Tribulation QLD 4873. Be sure to check your fuel before leaving, as there are limited services in the area.
Public Transport
For those using public transport, take a bus from Cairns to Mossman. Once in Mossman, transfer to the Daintree Bus service, which will take you directly to the Daintree Rainforest. The bus service operates several times a day, but check the schedule in advance for the latest times. The total cost for the bus from Cairns to Mossman is approximately AUD 25, and from Mossman to Daintree Rainforest, it's around AUD 30.
Ferry
If you're driving, you will need to take the Daintree River Ferry to cross the river. This ferry is located on ferry road and operates regularly. The crossing fee is around AUD 30 per vehicle, and it’s a short ride that provides beautiful views of the river and surrounding rainforest.
Walking
Once you arrive at the Daintree Rainforest, there are several designated walking trails. Be sure to wear appropriate footwear and carry water. The main access is through the Daintree Discovery Centre, where you can pay the entry fee of approximately AUD 38 for adults and AUD 19 for children.
