Bus
From Port Douglas, head to the nearest bus stop located on Macrossan Street. Look for the bus service to Kuranda, which is operated by the local transport company. Buses typically run several times a day, so be sure to check the schedule. Once you board the bus, enjoy the scenic ride to Kuranda. The bus will drop you off at the main bus stop in Kuranda. From there, it’s a short 10-minute walk to Kuranda Koala Gardens. Head southeast on Kuranda Main Street, then turn left onto Rob Veivers Drive. The gardens will be on your right at 2/4 Rob Veivers Dr.
Shuttle Service
You can also opt for a shuttle service from Port Douglas to Kuranda. Many tour companies offer round-trip shuttle services that will take you directly to Kuranda Koala Gardens. Book your shuttle in advance, and confirm the pickup time and location in Port Douglas. The shuttle will take you directly to the gardens, allowing you to enjoy a hassle-free journey.
Walking
If you find yourself in the vicinity of Kuranda, you can explore the area on foot. Start from the Kuranda Railway Station or the Kuranda Scenic Railway if you are coming from a train ride. Walk along the Kuranda Main Street until you reach Rob Veivers Drive. Turn left onto Rob Veivers Drive, and you will find Kuranda Koala Gardens at 2/4 Rob Veivers Dr. Please note that this option is only viable if you are already in Kuranda.
