Getting There

• Car

  If you are driving from the Alice Springs town center, head southwest on Todd St toward Gregory Terrace. Continue onto Hartley St, then turn right onto Leichhardt Terrace. Follow Leichhardt Terrace until you reach the intersection with Parsons Street. YHA Alice Springs will be on your left at the corner of Parsons Street and Leichhardt Terrace. Parking is available nearby, but it may incur a fee depending on the time of day.

• Public Transport

  To reach YHA Alice Springs via public transport, take the Alice Springs Bus Service. You can board any bus that heads towards the town center. Get off at the stop at Todd Street. From there, walk southwest on Todd St toward Gregory Terrace, then continue onto Hartley St. Turn right onto Leichhardt Terrace and walk until you reach Parsons Street. The hostel is located at the corner of Parsons Street and Leichhardt Terrace. The bus fare is approximately AUD 3.50.

• Taxi

  For a more direct route, you can take a taxi to YHA Alice Springs. Simply tell the driver to take you to the corner of Parsons Street and Leichhardt Terrace. Taxi fares from the Alice Springs airport or other locations in town typically range from AUD 20 to AUD 50, depending on the distance.

• Walking

  If you are already in the central area of Alice Springs, you can easily walk to YHA Alice Springs. From the Alice Springs Telegraph Station, head southeast on the Alice Springs Telegraph Station Road, continue until you reach Hartley St. Turn right onto Hartley St and then right onto Leichhardt Terrace. Walk until you reach the intersection with Parsons Street. The hostel will be on your left. The walk takes approximately 20 minutes.
