Getting There

  • Car

    If you are driving, start from Adelaide, the capital of South Australia. Get on the South Eastern Freeway (M1) and head southeast. Follow the signs for the Fleurieu Peninsula. After about 70 km, take the exit toward Normanville/Second Valley (B23). Continue on B23 for approximately 30 km until you reach the town of Cape Jervis. From Cape Jervis, take the ferry to Kangaroo Island (make sure to check the ferry schedule and reserve your tickets in advance). The ferry ride takes about 45 minutes. Once you arrive at Penneshaw on Kangaroo Island, take the Playford Highway (about 22 km) to the town of Kingscote, then follow the signs to the South Coast Road (Cygnet River Road). Continue on South Coast Road for about 28 km until you reach the entrance to Cape Willoughby Conservation Park. Follow the road signs to the lighthouse, which is approximately 10 km from the park entrance. Note that there may be a small entry fee for the park.
