Car
If you're driving, start from the town of Margaret River. Head east on Bussell Hwy/A10 for about 25 km until you reach the junction with Caves Rd. Turn left onto Caves Rd and continue for approximately 20 km until you reach the junction with the Boodjidup Rd. Turn right onto Boodjidup Rd. After about 5 km, you will see a sign for McCarthy's Lookout. Follow the signs and park in the designated area.
Public Transport
For those using public transport, take a bus from Margaret River to Augusta. From Augusta, you can catch a local taxi or rideshare service to McCarthy's Lookout. Be sure to check the bus schedules and plan your trip in advance, as services may not run frequently. The taxi ride from Augusta to McCarthy's Lookout is approximately 20 km.
Walking from Parking Area
Once you arrive at McCarthy's Lookout parking area, it is a short walk to the lookout point. Follow the marked trails leading to the lookout. The path is well-maintained and provides beautiful views along the way. It should take about 10-15 minutes to reach the lookout.
