Car
If you're driving, start from Bowral, which is a central point in the Southern Highlands. Head south on the Hume Highway (M31) towards Mittagong. Take the Mittagong exit and drive towards the B62 (Old Hume Highway) for about 15 minutes. Continue on the B62, following the signs to Kangaroo Valley. Once you reach Barrengarry, look for the signs indicating Manning Lookout. The lookout is located within Morton National Park, and parking is available nearby.
Public Transport
From Bowral, take a train on the Southern Highlands Line towards Sydney, and disembark at Mittagong Station. From Mittagong Station, you can catch a local bus (Route 898) towards Kangaroo Valley. Make sure to check the bus schedule in advance as service frequency may vary. Get off at Barrengarry and follow the signs to Manning Lookout. The walk from the bus stop to the lookout is approximately 1.5 kilometers through Morton National Park.
Walking
If you’re in close proximity to Morton National Park, you can also walk to Manning Lookout from nearby locations. The lookout is accessible via well-marked walking trails. Ensure you have appropriate walking gear and check the park's conditions before heading out. The walk can take about 30 minutes to an hour, depending on your starting point.
