Car
If you are traveling by car, start from the center of Maroochydore. Drive onto Maroochydore Rd/A1 and head north. Continue to follow A1 for about 9 km until you reach the intersection with the Sunshine Motorway. Take the ramp onto the Sunshine Motorway, heading towards the M1. Continue on the Sunshine Motorway for approximately 6 km, then take the exit toward Nambour. Merge onto the Nambour Connection Rd and follow the signs for Maroochy River. After about 4 km, turn right onto Lake Dunethin Rd. Dunethin Rock will be located at 22 Lake Dunethin Rd, Maroochy River, QLD 4561. There is free parking available near the rock.
Public Transportation
To reach Dunethin Rock via public transport, start at the Maroochydore Bus Interchange. Take the Sunbus Route 620 (Nambour) and get off at the stop at Lake Dunethin Rd. The bus ride takes about 30 minutes. From the bus stop, it is a short 10-minute walk to Dunethin Rock. Walk along Lake Dunethin Rd until you reach the rock at 22 Lake Dunethin Rd, Maroochy River QLD 4561. Make sure to check the bus schedule in advance for return trips.
