Car
From Sydney CBD, take the M4 Motorway towards Penrith. Continue on the M4 for approximately 50 km. Take the exit toward The Northern Rd/Blaxland Rd, then merge onto The Northern Rd. After about 8 km, turn left onto Wolstenholme Ave. Follow Wolstenholme Ave for about 2 km, and you will reach the Bents Basin Road picnic area at 525 Wolstenholme Ave, Silverdale NSW 2745. There is no entry fee for the picnic area.
Public Transportation
From Central Station in Sydney, take the T1 Western Line train towards Emu Plains. Get off at the Penrith Station (approximately 1 hour journey). From Penrith Station, take Bus Route 786 towards Silverdale and get off at the stop for Wolstenholme Ave. Walk about 1.5 km down Wolstenholme Ave to reach Bents Basin Road picnic area at 525 Wolstenholme Ave, Silverdale NSW 2745. Note that bus tickets cost around AUD 5-7 depending on the time of travel.
