Car
To reach Heathcote National Park by car from Sydney Basin, start by heading south on the M1 Motorway. Take the exit towards Heathcote Road. Continue on Heathcote Road until you reach the park entrance, which is located at VXPG+66, Heathcote NSW 2233. There is no entry fee for the park, but be aware of possible parking fees at designated areas.
Public Transportation
You can reach Heathcote National Park via public transportation by taking a train from Sydney Central Station. Take the T4 Eastern Suburbs & Illawarra Line towards Cronulla. Get off at Heathcote Station. From the station, it's about a 10-15 minute walk to the entrance of the park. Follow the signs towards the park and be prepared for some walking on local roads. Ensure to check the transport schedules as they may vary, especially on weekends.
Walking from Heathcote Station
After exiting Heathcote Station, head south on Station Street, then turn left onto Heathcote Road. Continue for about 1 kilometer until you see the entrance to Heathcote National Park. This walk takes approximately 15 minutes and is a pleasant route through the local area.
