Car
If you're driving from Sydney CBD, take the M4 Motorway heading west. Continue on the M4 for about 40 km. Take the exit toward Mulgoa Rd and merge onto Mulgoa Rd. Continue on Mulgoa Rd for approximately 5 km until you reach the intersection with Henley Rd. Turn left onto Henley Rd, then take the first right onto The Driftway. After about 1 km, you will reach Portal Lookout located at 6J9Q+J6, Mulgoa NSW 2782. There is free parking available on-site.
Public Transport
To reach Portal Lookout using public transport, take a train from Sydney Central Station on the Western Line toward Emu Plains. Get off at Penrith Station (approximately a 1-hour journey). Once at Penrith Station, catch the bus route 796 toward Mulgoa. Disembark at the stop closest to the intersection of Mulgoa Rd and The Driftway. From there, it’s about a 10-minute walk (approximately 800 meters) to Portal Lookout. Be sure to check the bus schedule for the latest timings, as services may vary.
