If you're driving, start from Sydney CBD and take the M1 Motorway towards the North. Follow the M1 for about 20 kilometers, then take the exit toward Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park. Continue on Ku-ring-gai Chase Road until you reach the park entrance. There is an entry fee of AUD 12 per vehicle, which can be paid at the entrance. After entering the park, follow the signs to the Basin Trail parking area.

To reach Basin Trail using public transport, take a train from Sydney CBD to Lindfield Station on the T1 North Shore Line. From Lindfield Station, you can catch bus number 590 towards Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park. The bus will drop you off near the park entrance. Once you arrive, there is an entry fee of AUD 12 per vehicle if you're in a car, but since you are using public transport, you can enter the park on foot. Follow the signs to the Basin Trail from the entrance.
