Car
If you are driving from Sydney CBD, take the Eastern Distributor (M1) and follow the signs for the Airport and Botany. Continue on the M1, then take the exit towards Botany Road. Turn left onto Botany Road, and then right onto Bunnerong Road. Follow Bunnerong Road, and then turn left onto Kooringai Avenue. Yarra Bay Beach will be on your right at 21w Kooringai Ave, Phillip Bay. Parking is available nearby, but it may incur a fee during peak hours.
Public Transportation
To reach Yarra Bay Beach via public transport, start by taking a train from Sydney CBD to Central Station. From Central, transfer to a bus towards La Perouse (Bus 391 or 394). Get off at the 'Kooringai Ave at Yarra Bay' stop. Walk towards the beach, which is just a few minutes away. The total journey may take around 1 to 1.5 hours depending on transfer times. Note that bus fares will apply, and it is recommended to use an Opal card for convenience.
Bike
For those who prefer biking, you can cycle from Sydney CBD to Yarra Bay Beach. Start on the dedicated bike paths along the waterfront, making your way towards Moore Park and then connecting to the paths leading to La Perouse. Follow the signs to Yarra Bay Beach via Kooringai Avenue. The ride is approximately 12 km and can take about 45 minutes to 1 hour depending on your cycling speed. Make sure to wear a helmet and follow local cycling rules.
