Bus
To reach Dee Why Lagoon using public transport, start by making your way to the nearest major train station, such as Central Station. From Central Station, catch a train on the T1 North Shore & Western Line towards Hornsby. Get off at Chatswood Station. At Chatswood, transfer to Bus Route 144 heading towards Dee Why. Stay on the bus for about 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Dee Why, get off at the stop named 'Pacific Parade at Dee Why Lagoon.' The lagoon will be a short walk from the bus stop.
Ferry and Bus
If you prefer a scenic route, you can take a ferry from Circular Quay to Manly. Board the ferry to Manly and enjoy the beautiful views of Sydney Harbour. Once you arrive at Manly, head to the bus station located right outside the ferry terminal. From there, catch Bus Route 135 towards Dee Why. The journey will take around 25 minutes. Get off at 'Pacific Parade at Dee Why Lagoon' stop. The lagoon will be easily accessible from the bus stop.
Light Rail and Bus
Start your journey at the nearest light rail station, such as the one in Darling Harbour. Take the light rail towards Dulwich Hill and get off at the last stop. From there, walk to the bus stop at the corner of George Street and Railway Parade, and catch Bus Route 136 towards Dee Why. The bus ride will take approximately 45 minutes. Disembark at 'Pacific Parade at Dee Why Lagoon,' and you'll find yourself right at the lagoon.
