Public Transport - Train
From Sydney's Central Station, catch a train towards Circular Quay. Trains to Circular Quay are frequent and take about 5-10 minutes. Once you arrive at Circular Quay Station, follow the signs to the exit. From there, it is a short 10-minute walk along the waterfront to WILD LIFE Sydney Zoo. Head towards the Sydney Opera House, and then turn right onto Wheat Road, where the zoo is located at 1-5 Wheat Rd.
Public Transport - Bus
If you're closer to a bus stop, you can take a bus that heads towards the city center and get off at Circular Quay. From Circular Quay, follow the waterfront to reach WILD LIFE Sydney Zoo. It is approximately a 10-minute walk along the promenade. Look for signs directing you towards the zoo along Wheat Road.
Ferry
Take a ferry from any of the ferry wharves in Sydney (such as Manly or Darling Harbour) to Circular Quay. Upon arriving at Circular Quay, exit the wharf and walk towards the Sydney Opera House. From there, turn right onto Wheat Road, and WILD LIFE Sydney Zoo will be on your left at 1-5 Wheat Rd. The ferry ride offers beautiful views of the Sydney Harbour.
Walking
If you are staying nearby in the Darling Harbour area, WILD LIFE Sydney Zoo is an easy 15-minute walk. Head towards the waterfront and follow the path leading you past the Australian National Maritime Museum. Continue along the promenade until you reach Circular Quay, then head towards the Sydney Opera House and turn right onto Wheat Road. The zoo will be located at 1-5 Wheat Rd.
Light Rail
Take the light rail from various points in the city towards the Dulwich Hill line. Get off at the Pyrmont Bay station. From there, it’s about a 10-minute walk towards Darling Harbour. Follow the path leading to the waterfront, and continue walking towards Circular Quay. Once you reach Circular Quay, the zoo is a short walk along Wheat Road, which is on your left after passing the Opera House.
