Getting There

  • Car

    If you are traveling by car, head towards Eaglehawk Neck. From Hobart, take the Arthur Highway (A9) heading southeast. The drive is approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes (approximately 85 km). Follow the A9 until you reach Eaglehawk Neck. Once in Eaglehawk Neck, turn onto Pirates Bay Drive (B37). Continue on Pirates Bay Drive for about 3 km. The Tessellated Pavement will be on your left, near the parking area. Make sure to look for the signs directing you to the Tessellated Pavement.

  • Public Transportation

    For those using public transportation, take a bus from Hobart to Sorell. From Hobart, you can catch a bus from the Hobart Bus Station to Sorell, which takes about 30 minutes. Then, transfer to a bus that goes to Eaglehawk Neck. The total journey may take around 2 hours depending on the connection times. Once you arrive in Eaglehawk Neck, you will need to walk approximately 3 km down Pirates Bay Drive to reach the Tessellated Pavement.
