Car
If you're traveling by car, start from the town of Huonville. Head south on Huon Highway (A6) for about 30 kilometers until you reach the town of Franklin. Continue straight onto the B68 towards Geeveston. After approximately 17 kilometers, you will arrive at Geeveston. From Geeveston, take the C632 road towards the Tahune Airwalk. After about 10 kilometers, look for the sign indicating Adamsons Falls Track on your left. Turn onto Adamsons Falls Track and continue for about 5 kilometers until you reach the car park. Note that the road may be unsealed in parts; a high-clearance vehicle is recommended, especially after rain.
Public Transportation
If you're using public transportation, take a bus from Hobart to Geeveston. The bus service is operated by Metro Tasmania, and the journey takes about 1 hour. Once in Geeveston, you will need to arrange for a taxi or rideshare service to get to Adamsons Falls Track, as public transport does not service this area directly. The taxi ride from Geeveston to Adamsons Falls Track will take approximately 10-15 minutes and cost around AUD 25-35. Be sure to check the bus schedules in advance to ensure you have return transport.
Walking
Once you arrive at the car park for Adamsons Falls Track, you will need to walk approximately 1 hour to reach the falls. The track is well-marked and offers stunning views of the surrounding wilderness. It is advisable to wear sturdy walking shoes and carry plenty of water, as the walk can be challenging in certain sections. The path is generally suitable for most fitness levels, but be prepared for some uphill sections.
