Getting There
-
Car
If you're traveling by car, make your way to the town of Kununurra, which is often the starting point for exploring The Kimberley region. From Kununurra, take the Great Northern Highway (National Route 1) south towards Halls Creek. After approximately 300 km, you will reach Halls Creek. From Halls Creek, you will need to take the Bungle Bungles Road (also known as Purnululu National Park Road) towards Purnululu National Park. The road is unsealed and can be rough, so a 4WD vehicle is recommended. Follow the signs for about 53 km until you reach the park entrance. Note that there is a fee to enter the park (around AUD 13 per adult) which is paid at the entrance. Once in the park, follow the signs for Cathedral Gorge, which is about a 2.5 km walk from the car park.
