Car
If you are driving from Darwin, head south on the Stuart Highway (A1) towards Katherine. After around 1,800 km (approximately 18-20 hours of driving), take the exit onto the Bruce Highway (M1) towards Brisbane. Continue on the Bruce Highway and take the exit towards Beerwah (Exit 163). Follow Steve Irwin Way for about 15 minutes until you reach Australia Zoo at 1638 Steve Irwin Way, Beerwah QLD 4519. Ensure you have a map or GPS handy for navigation.
Public Transportation
From Darwin, take a flight to Brisbane, which takes about 4 hours. Once in Brisbane, you can take a train from Brisbane Airport to the Brisbane Central Station. From there, catch a train on the Sunshine Coast Line to Landsborough Station, which takes about 1.5 hours. Upon arrival at Landsborough, you can take a taxi or rideshare service to Australia Zoo, which is approximately 10 minutes away (about 8 km). Confirm the taxi fare, as it may vary, typically costing around AUD 20-30.
