Car
If you are traveling by car, start from the center of Sydney and take the A1 highway north. Follow the signs for Palm Beach. Once you reach Palm Beach, turn onto Barrenjoey Road. Continue driving until you reach the end of the road at the parking area near Barrenjoey Lighthouse. Note that parking may incur a fee, so be prepared for potential costs.
Public Transportation
To reach Barrenjoey Lighthouse using public transportation, take a train from Central Station on the T1 line towards the Central Coast & Newcastle. Alight at the last stop, which is Woy Woy Station. From there, transfer to bus number 190 or 199 that goes directly to Palm Beach. Once you arrive at Palm Beach, walk along Barrenjoey Road until you find the walking trail leading up to the lighthouse. Keep in mind that some buses may only operate during peak hours, so check the schedule in advance.
Walking
If you prefer a scenic walk, there is a walking trail that begins at the parking area. The hike to Barrenjoey Lighthouse is approximately 1.5 kilometers and offers stunning views of the coastline.
