Car
If you're driving from Darwin, head south on the Stuart Highway (National Route 1). After about 5 hours, take the exit for Katherine and continue on the Victoria Highway. After approximately 2.5 hours, follow the signs to Ballarat via the Western Highway (M8). Once you reach Ballarat, follow the signs for Sovereign Hill, which is located at Bradshaw St, Golden Point VIC 3350. There is ample parking available on-site.

To visit Sovereign Hill via public transport from Darwin, take a flight to Melbourne Tullamarine Airport. From the airport, take the SkyBus to Southern Cross Station in Melbourne. From Southern Cross, catch a V/Line train to Ballarat (approximately 1.5 hours). Once in Ballarat, you can take a local bus or taxi to Sovereign Hill, which is about 3.5 km from the train station. Be sure to check the bus schedules in advance.
