If you are traveling by car, navigate to 18 King George Terrace, Parkes, ACT. From the city center of Darwin, take the Stuart Highway (A1) south. Follow the highway for several hours until you reach the turn-off for the ACT region. Continue on the Federal Highway (M23) towards Canberra. Once in Canberra, take the exit for Parkes. Follow the signs to Old Parliament House, which is located near the shores of Lake Burley Griffin. Parking is available nearby, but make sure to check for parking fees which may apply.

Public Transportation
To reach Old Parliament House via public transportation, you will first need to get to Canberra. From Darwin, book a flight to Canberra Airport. Upon arrival, you can take the ACTION Bus 11 or 23 from the airport to the city center. Once in the city center, transfer to Bus 3, which goes directly to Old Parliament House. The bus fare is approximately AUD 4.00 for a single journey, and buses run frequently, so you won’t have to wait long.

If you arrive at the bus stop for Old Parliament House, you will find it is just a short walk from the bus stop to the entrance. Simply follow the signs towards the main entrance of the building, which is well-marked. The walk should take no more than 5 minutes.
