Beyond the Sights of Kakadu

We had a wonderful day in Kakadu with Rob — beautiful, engaging and genuinely informative. What I particularly appreciated was the depth of his knowledge and the way he shared it: naturally, through conversation and close attention to the landscape, rather than simply delivering facts. It made the experience feel personal and thoughtful. As a photographer, I especially enjoyed our conversations about the region, its people and different ways of looking at and understanding this extraordinary place. It certainly left me curious to discover more beyond what can be experienced in a single day. The landscapes were extraordinary, and the whole day was very well organised. If I could suggest one addition, it would be a swimming stop somewhere along the route. I would also personally love an opportunity for a deeper Indigenous-led cultural experience, perhaps connected to contemporary everyday life, if something like this could be incorporated respectfully into the programme. Overall, a beautiful and meaningful experience. I would highly recommend Ethical Adventures and Rob to anyone who wants to discover Kakadu beyond simply seeing the main sights.

An excellent adventure throughout the kakadu national park with our amazing tour guide Rhett leading the way. There was something for everyone to enjoy from aboriginal art to swimming in pools of freshwater we enjoyed our time on this trip endlessly. The people we were with where kind and welcoming making it easy to enjoy the outback to its full extent and making lots of new friends. Our tour guide Rhett couldn't have been better telling us amazing stories around the campfire and cracking lots of funny jokes that made us all laugh. He taught us lots about the area and aboriginal culture. Thank you for an amazing trip.

29/7/26 Dry Season....

29/7/26 Dry Season. Temperatures nice and warm by day. Blanket/sleeping bag recommended though for colder nights. Well planned and paced by very knowledgeable guide Tim, who explained local background, wildlife, history and cultural link between the people and the land. Good and pleasant group travel with regular stops. Also suitable for mobile seniors (but should have no back problems because the trip includes rough roading). Must like the regular (up to 1 hour) walks to and swimming at the swimming holes. Recommended.
