From Melbourne, take the M1 highway towards Geelong. Continue on the M1 until you reach the C164 exit towards Port Campbell. Follow the C164 road for approximately 60 kilometers until you arrive in Port Campbell. Once in Port Campbell, follow the signs to the Mutton Bird Island Lookout. The lookout is located along the coastal road and is well-marked. There is parking available near the lookout.

From Melbourne, take a V/Line train to Warrnambool. The journey takes about 3 hours. From Warrnambool, catch a V/Line bus towards Port Campbell. The bus ride takes about 1 hour. Once you arrive in Port Campbell, you can walk to the Mutton Bird Island Lookout. It's approximately a 1 km walk from the bus stop, following the coastal path. Be sure to check the V/Line schedule for the latest bus and train times.
