Experience Gold Rush - Sovereign Hill and Gold City Day Tour
Easy trip worth it
Easy trip from Melbourne by train and my kids had a blast. We arrived a few hours beforehand to enjoy the area. Despite the crowds, it was all very well organized and things moved very quickly. The lights were beautiful (we lasted maybe half hour / 45 min to see them), the warm fires were very helpful, and we’re glad we made it.

Sovereign Hill General Entry Ticket
Fun family day out
It was a fun day out, with lots of things to see and experience, especially for the kids. But you need to be prepared to pay for all of the additional add on activities. A bit of walking along uneven terrain and steps up and down. Many of the staff came across like they really did not want to be there, a bit surprising considering this is such a popular tourist attraction.
