Getting There

• Car

  If you're traveling by car from Western New South Wales, take the Great Western Highway (A32) towards Sydney. As you approach the outskirts of Sydney, follow the signs for the M4 Motorway. Continue on the M4 until you reach the city center. Upon entering the city, follow the signs to the city center and head towards the CBD. You can park at nearby parking facilities such as the Secure Parking at 155 York St or the Wilson Parking at 383 George St, which are approximately a 10-15 minute walk from the Museum of Sydney.

• Public Transportation - Train

  To reach the Museum of Sydney via public transport, take a train from your nearest train station in Western New South Wales to Sydney's Central Station. Trains run frequently, and you can check the NSW TrainLink website for schedules and ticket prices, which typically range from AUD 10 to AUD 30 depending on your starting point. Once you arrive at Central Station, transfer to the T2, T3, or T8 train lines towards Circular Quay. Alight at Circular Quay Station. From there, it is a 10-minute walk to the museum. Head north on Alfred St, then turn left onto Bridge St, and the museum will be on your left at the corner of Bridge St and Phillip St.

  You can also take a bus from various locations in Western New South Wales to Sydney's CBD. Check the Transport for NSW website for bus routes and schedules. Once you reach the city, you can navigate to the Museum of Sydney by walking. If you get off at the nearest bus stop on Macquarie St, it's a short walk. Head towards Bridge St and turn right. The museum is located at the corner of Bridge St and Phillip St. Make sure to have an Opal card ready for purchasing bus tickets, which can be topped up at convenience stores.
