Getting There

• Car

  If you're traveling by car, use the following directions: From the nearest major city, Tamworth, take the New England Highway (A39) heading northwest. Continue on A39 for about 90 kilometers until reaching the Narrabri exit. Once in Narrabri, follow the signs for the town center. At the intersection with Maitland Street, turn left and continue straight until you reach Bowen Street. Turn right onto Bowen Street, and the Narrabri Old Gaol & Museum will be on your left at 2 Bowen St.

• Public Transportation (Bus)

  To reach Narrabri Old Gaol & Museum using public transport, take a bus from Tamworth or Moree to Narrabri. Check the schedules with local bus services like NSW TrainLink or local coach companies. Once you arrive at the Narrabri bus station, exit and walk towards the center of town. It’s about a 15-minute walk (1.2 km) to the museum. Head southeast on Barwan Street, then turn left onto Maitland Street, and follow it until you reach Bowen Street. Turn right, and the museum will be on your left.
