If you opt for public transportation, you can take a V/Line train from Southern Cross Station in Melbourne to Geelong. From Geelong, transfer to a V/Line bus heading towards Lorne. The bus ride will take approximately 1.5 hours. Once you arrive in Lorne, you will need to walk to Bert Alsop Track. It is advisable to use a map app on your phone or ask locals for directions to reach Splitters Grave, which is a short distance from the bus stop.
