Car
If you're traveling by car, start by heading to the Hamilton Island Airport (HBA). From the airport, follow the main road towards Hamilton Island Resort. Continue straight and look for the signs directing you to Passage Peak. The drive is approximately 10 minutes, and parking is available at the base of the hiking trail. There is no entry fee for the trail.
Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, take the shuttle bus from Hamilton Island Airport to the Hamilton Island Resort. Once you arrive at the resort, check for the shuttle service that connects to the Passage Peak trailhead. This shuttle typically runs every 30 minutes and is included in your resort fee, but confirm with the resort for current schedules.
Walking
After reaching the trailhead, you will embark on a hike to Passage Peak. The trail is well-marked and takes about 1.5 to 2 hours to reach the summit. Make sure to wear comfortable hiking shoes and carry water. The hike can be strenuous, but the stunning views from the peak are worth the effort. There is no cost associated with the hike itself.
