Start from the center of Bad Gastein, near the Bad Gastein train station. Head west on Kaiser-Franz-Josef-Straße towards the main road, B167. Continue straight for about 500 meters until you reach the intersection with B167. Cross the road and follow the signs towards the hiking trails. Look for the trailhead that leads towards the Tauernbach Wasserfall, which should be marked with yellow hiking signs. Follow the well-marked path for approximately 30 minutes, keeping to the left side of the river.
