From Bregenz city center, walk to the Bregenz train station (Bahnhof Bregenz). This is about a 10-minute walk. Once at the station, purchase a ticket to Munich (München). The train ride typically takes about 3 to 4 hours. Upon arrival at Munich Hauptbahnhof (main train station), you can take a local U-Bahn (subway) line U2 towards Erding. Get off at the stop 'Sendlinger Tor'. From there, transfer to U-Bahn line U1 towards Mangfallplatz and get off at the 'Stephansplatz' station, which is very close to St. Stephan.

If you are already at the Sendlinger Tor, exit the station and walk towards the east along Sendlinger Strasse. Continue straight for about 500 meters until you reach the intersection with Stephansplatz. St. Stephan is located at Stephanspl. 2, on your left.
