Car
If you're traveling by car, begin your journey from Klagenfurt, the capital of Carinthia. Head southeast on B83 towards Villach. Continue on B83 for approximately 30 km until you reach the junction for A2. Merge onto A2 towards Graz and drive for about 15 km. Take exit 34 towards Wernberg/Zgornje Gorje. At the roundabout, take the first exit onto B84. After approximately 5 km, turn left onto local roads that lead into Zgornje Gorje. Follow the signs to Lake Kreda, which will be on your left side.
Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, start by taking a train from Klagenfurt to Villach. The trains run frequently, and the journey takes about 30 minutes. Once you arrive in Villach, transfer to the local bus service (Bus number 512) that heads towards Zgornje Gorje. The bus ride will take approximately 20 minutes. Make sure to get off at the stop closest to Lake Kreda. From the bus stop, it's a short walk to the lake, following the signs that indicate the direction to the lake.
