Getting there

Public Bus

From the center of Klagenfurt, walk to the nearest bus station, which is located at 'Bahnhofplatz'. Take Bus line 40 in the direction of 'Wörthersee'. You will need to get off at the 'Krnica' stop. The bus ride will take approximately 30 minutes. Once you arrive at 'Krnica', follow the signs leading to Pokljuka Gorge or ask locals for directions, as it is a popular attraction.

Walking

If you prefer to walk, start from Klagenfurt city center and head towards the 'Lendkanal' river. Follow the riverbank until you reach 'Bahnhofplatz', where you will pick up the trail towards Pokljuka Gorge. The walking distance is about 10 kilometers and will take around 2 hours. The trail is well-marked, and you will enjoy scenic views along the way.

Bicycle Rental

You can rent a bicycle from one of the many rental shops in Klagenfurt. Once you have your bike, head towards the Wörthersee and follow the lakeside cycling path. Continue cycling towards 'Krnica', which is approximately 12 kilometers away. The ride will take about 40 minutes. Look for signs indicating the way to Pokljuka Gorge once you reach Krnica.
