What could be better than exceeding expectations

What could be better than the joy of arriving at a place that exceeds best expectations? This is what happened to us when we arrived in Rostatt in mid-December 2024 to fully enjoy the Christmas season. The beauty of the location (at 1200 m altitude) and the surrounding area can be already guessed on the inn's website. But the reality is even more impressive – with a breathtaking view of Dachstein, Hohe Tauern and Großglockner. The equipment of the rooms is at a high quality level, with materials usually found only in top hotels. This applies to our apartment “Hochgründeck” as well as to the guest room and sauna. And the most important thing – at least for us: The hosts! Sonja, Peter and “Grandma” radiate a sincere, warm warm warmth that is rarely experienced even in hospitable Austria. A state-of-the-art inn that not only bears the term “organic farm” as a label, but lives authentically in every detail! It is a pleasure to talk to Sonja and Peter about their exciting everyday life in the mountains and to experience it a bit far. So, off to Rostatt near Bischofshofen in Salzburger Land – also strategically located for exploring! Anyway, we put this domicile on our personal “top five” list (and we travel a lot 😊). Very worth seeing town

The circular path on the city island has some beautiful houses. Unfortunately, it is quite crowded there. But you should definitely not miss it as a quick visit on a boat trip. The harbor entrance itself is impressive.

Canyoning Advanced Day Trip

Exhausting but very fun and beautiful tour

The tour in the Roßgumpenbach was a lot of fun. There were many abseilers and a great view of the valley. Our group was very nice, as were the guides. We will definitely come back next year.
