Public Bus
From Eisenstadt, walk to the nearest bus stop at 'Eisenstadt, Hauptplatz'. Take bus number 200 towards 'Fertőd'. The bus ride takes approximately 30 minutes. Get off at the stop 'Fertőd, Vörösmarty utca'. From there, walk east along Vörösmarty utca for about 500 meters until you reach Joseph Haydn utca. Turn left onto Joseph Haydn utca, and the Esterházy-kastély will be on your right.
Bicycle
If you prefer cycling, rent a bike from one of the local shops in Eisenstadt. Head southeast on the cycle path towards Fertőd, following the signs. The distance is approximately 12 km and should take about 40 minutes. Upon arriving in Fertőd, continue straight until you reach Joseph Haydn utca, then turn left. The Esterházy-kastély will be at number 2.
Walking
For the adventurous, you can walk to Fertőd. Start at the center of Eisenstadt, head towards the southern exit of the town, following the path that leads you along the main road heading towards Fertőd. It's about a 12 km walk, which will take around 2.5 to 3 hours. Once you arrive in Fertőd, find Joseph Haydn utca and walk until you reach Esterházy-kastély at number 2.
