Getting There

  • Walking

    Start at the Eisenstadt city center, specifically at the iconic Haydnplatz. From Haydnplatz, head south towards the intersection with Hauptstraße. Continue straight on Hauptstraße until you reach the junction with Bahnhofstraße. Here, take a left onto Bahnhofstraße and walk straight for about 10 minutes until you reach the Eisenstadt train station. From the train station, you can catch a train to Sopron, Hungary. The train journey takes approximately 30 minutes.

    Once you arrive at Sopron train station, exit the station and walk towards the main road, Várkerület. Turn left and follow Várkerület until you reach the central square, Fő tér. The Fire Tower is located at Fő tér 5, which is just a short walk from the square. You will see the tower prominently displayed, and it should take you about 5 minutes to reach it from the square.

    If you prefer to walk from the train station in Sopron instead of taking the bus or taxi, exit the station and walk straight along the main road.
