Public Bus
From the center of Eisenstadt, walk to the nearest bus stop, which is located at 'Eisenstadt, Hauptplatz'. Take bus line 1 towards 'Sopron' and ride for about 15 minutes. Get off at the stop 'Eisenstadt, Bahnhof'. From there, transfer to bus line 2 towards 'Neusiedl am See' and continue for another 20 minutes. Disembark at 'Wien, Westbahnhof' station. Once there, you can take the U-Bahn (subway) line U6 towards 'Floridsdorf' and get off at the station 'Karlsplatz'. From Karlsplatz, transfer to line U2 towards 'Seestadt' and get off at 'MuseumsQuartier' station. Follow the signs to the MuseumsQuartier, which is about a 5-minute walk.
Train
Head to the Eisenstadt train station, located near the city center. Purchase a ticket for a regional train to Vienna. The journey takes approximately 30 minutes. Once you arrive at 'Wien Hauptbahnhof', exit the station and take the U-Bahn (subway) line U1 towards 'Stephansplatz'. At 'Stephansplatz', transfer to line U2 towards 'Karlsplatz' and get off at 'MuseumsQuartier' station. Follow the signs for the MuseumsQuartier, which is a short walk from the subway exit.
Walking
If you prefer to walk, start from Eisenstadt's Hauptplatz and head towards the Eisenstadt train station. Continue walking straight to the main road and follow the signs towards the train station. From the station, you can take a train to Vienna and then follow the instructions for the train option above once you reach 'Wien Hauptbahnhof'. While it is not practical to walk the entire distance to Vienna, this option provides a scenic route through Eisenstadt before you catch a train.
